Tumaini Kenyan Mission Partnership Week

For a week in July, PPC partnered with our sister congregation, a Kenyan Presbyterian church called Tumaini (which means "Hope"). We spent a week together working on their church building in Springfield, MA, but we did this within the context of deepening our relationships and sharing experiences together. Some pictures below tell the story...
The group gets set to leave from PPC... Members of Calvin Presbyterian Church (in Cumberland, RI) were also part of our team...
Pastor Chris and Kristin Mann start us off with scripture...
Philip schools people in the art of UNO playing...
Lin works on some electrical
Ann, J, and Dr. Phil hand out sandwiches, sodas and smiles to church neighbors...
Brother Dan chips away-- we stripped the outside walls and then repainted them... we also tore out the front panel and replaced it with nice, new tiling...
Working on the side of the building...
Pastor Dave finally does some real work...
All ages joined in together!
We shared a cook-out together in a park in Springfield (these two are sampling the goat meat!)
Good times, hanging out with the Kenyan youth in the cool of the evening...
